Kiera O’Brien is a public policy representative for the global multi-energy company TotalEnergies, where she handles federal policy for the US Renewables team, primarily focused on offshore wind. Prior to joining TotalEnergies in 2021, O’Brien worked on energy policy in the office of US Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) and launched two nonprofit organizations, Young Conservatives for Carbon Dividends and Students for Carbon Dividends, that educate on and advocate for a revenue-neutral price on carbon. She has testified before a US Senate committee addressing climate solutions. An Atlantic Council Women Leaders in Energy Fellow, she is an alum of the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication Public Voices Fellowship and the Aspen Institute’s K12 Climate Action Policy Commission. O’Brien is on the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for energy.
