Kilian Kleinschmidt is an international networker, humanitarian, and refugee expert. He has experience in a wide range of countries, emergencies, and refugee camps as a United Nations official, aid worker, and diplomat. Kleinschmidt managed the refugee camp of Za’atari in Jordan from 2013 to 2014 and is the founder and chairman of the startup Innovation and Planning Agency, connecting the millions of poor and disadvantaged with relevant and underutilized resources and 21st century technologies through its SWITXBOARD project. A participant in initiatives working toward global connectivity through better use of globalization, he currently advises the German development ministry, and advised the Austrian interior ministry in 2015, on refugee issues.
