Kirk Whalum

Kirk Whalum is a saxophonist and songwriter. He is a music professor at Visible Music College in Memphis and an ordained minister with a daily 15-minute podcast titled “Bible in Your Ear.” Whalum has over 25 solo recordings and has been a session player for top artists, including playing saxophone on Whitney Houston’s hit, “I Will Always Love You.” His “It’s What I Do” won a 2011 Grammy for Best Gospel Song. He has also received three Dove Award nominations, an NAACP Image Award nomination, and two Stellar Awards, gospel music’s highest honor.
