Kirsten Powers is a columnist for USA Today, a Fox News contributor, and abest-selling author. Her writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Dallas Morning News, New York Observer, Salon.com, the Daily Beast, New York Post, Elle magazine, and American Prospect online. Powers was vice president for international communications at America Online from 1998 to 2002 and worked in New York Democratic politics, including serving as press secretary for Andrew Cuomo’s 2002 governor’s race and as a consultant to the New York State Democratic Committee. She was deputy assistant US trade representative for public affairs in the Clinton administration from 1993 to 1998.
