Kitty Boone
Vice President, Executive Director, Public Programs, The Aspen Institute
Kitty Boone is vice president of public programs at the Aspen Institute and the primary executive responsible for managing the Aspen Ideas Festival. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, where she also had responsibilities for seminar programs, she served as vice president of marketing and sales at Aspen Skiing Company, where she worked for eleven years. Boone began her career in Washington, DC, as an intern for a national environmental group, ultimately coming to Aspen in 1989 after stints in the public and private sector. Passionate about education, she serves on two boards in Aspen, including that of Aspen Words, a partner organization of the Aspen Institute.
