Libby Wayman is a partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, an investor-led fund accelerating the transition to clean energy and a decarbonized economy. She also co-teaches the MIT and Harvard climate and energy ventures graduate course. Prior to this, Wayman was global director of innovation for GE’s Ecomagination clean technology program. Previously, she was the director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Energy Manufacturing Initiative, where she formulated tax credits and established research programs to further clean energy production and technologies. Earlier in her career, Wayman was head of the engineering group at Alion Energy and research and development engineer for photovoltaic systems at SunPower.
