Lisa DeAngelis
Physician-in-Chief and Chief Medical Officer, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Lisa M. DeAngelis is physician-in-chief and chief medical officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). DeAngelis is an internationally recognized expert in brain cancer and the neurological complications of cancer treatment, including cognitive impairment and stroke. During 30 years at MSK, she served as chair of neurology and co-founded MSK’s Brain Tumor Center. Her research focuses on primary brain tumors and the investigation of new tumor therapies, and she helped develop the current regimen to treat primary central nervous system lymphoma. DeAngelis is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine, fellow of the American Neurological Association and former board vice chair, and fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, which, in 2019, awarded her its highest honor, the Wartenberg Lecture.
