Lisa Gill is editor of the Best Buy Drugs program of Consumer Reports and contributes to its Choosing Wisely and Preventing Overdiagnosis campaigns. Prior to joining Consumer Reports seven years ago, she was editor of Retail Pharmacy Management magazine, a grant and ghost writer for continuing medical education materials, editor of Cybergrrl.com, and manager of numerous online communities, including Jane magazine and NYTimes.com. She has contributed to the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and other consumer publications on health care topics; appeared on “Dr. Oz,” “CBS This Morning,” “The Today Show,” and “CBS Evening News,” among others; and given dozens of talks on saving money in health care.
