Lonnie Ali is co-founder, with her husband Muhammad Ali, of the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky, where she is a lifetime director and board vice chair. Ali assumed management of her husband’s business affairs after their 1986 marriage, incorporating Greatest of All Time (GOAT), Inc., in 1992 to centralize and license her husband’s intellectual properties for commercial purposes. She was vice president and treasurer of GOAT, Inc., until the company’s 2006 sale. In 1997, Ali and her husband helped launch the Muhammad Ali Parkinson’s Center in Phoenix and, in 2009, the Muhammad and Lonnie Ali Pavilion, which houses the Muhammad Ali Parkinson’s Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. A 2013 inductee of the National Consortium for Academics and Sports Hall of Fame, Ali is an advocate for children’s rights and Parkinson’s disease research and has received numerous honors and awards.
