Louise Pentland is PayPal’s chief business affairs and legal officer, responsible for the company’s global people, legal, communications, intellectual property, government relations, and social innovation functions. Prior to joining PayPal in 2015, she spent 16 years at Nokia Corporation, most recently as EVP and chief legal officer. An advocate and volunteer for human rights organizations, at-risk children seeking asylum, women and children victims of domestic violence, and workplace diversity, Pentland’s numerous honors include the 2016 National Legal Aid & Defender Association Exemplar Award and being named one of the California Diversity Council’s 2017 Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology. She is a director of Hitachi and the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley.
