Lucy Marcil is a primary care pediatrician and Fellow at Boston Medical Center and an assistant professor at Boston University School of Medicine. She also creates solutions to buffer kids from the adversity they face growing up in poverty. Marcil co-founded StreetCred, which provides economic mobility services (such as tax preparation, child savings accounts, and financial coaching) to low-income families in pediatric clinics. She has also worked on pediatric health-systems innovation and strengthening in Namibia, Bangladesh, and Kenya. Marcil has been recognized with the American Academy of Pediatrics Anne E. Dyson Child Advocacy Award and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Quinn Prize, and has been named a TED Fellow.
