Lucy McBath is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Georgia’s 7th congressional district. A Congressional Black Caucus and New Democrat Coalition member, she serves on the Education and Workforce Committee and the Judiciary Committee. Previously, McBath represented Georgia's 6th congressional district from 2019 to 2023. Prior to this, she was a national spokesperson and faith leader for gun violence prevention with Mothers of the Movement, following the murder of her 17-year-old son, Jordan Davis. McBath also appeared in the documentary 3 1/2 Minutes, 10 Bullets, about her son's shooting, and the documentary The Armor of Light, about gun violence in America. Earlier in her career, she was a flight attendant for 30 years.
