Luisa Santos is a member of Miami-Dade County Public Schools board, representing District 9. Its youngest-ever member, she works to ensure all students have a quality and equitable school experience that sets them up for success in the real world. Prior to this, Santos was the founder and CEO of Lulu's Ice Cream. Previously, she was program coordinator at Georgetown University Center for Social Justice’s D.C. Reads. Earlier in her career, Santos was an operations coordinator for Teach For America. She has spoken at the White House for the Latinas in the U.S. Summit and been featured in Forbes, Glamour and The Miami Herald. Santos’ recognition includes being named Florida Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
