Lyle Lovett

Lyle Lovett is a singer-songwriter who has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Starting in the early 1980s in the Texas folk acoustic scene, he performed widely before releasing his self-titled debut album in 1986. Whether touring with his Acoustic Group or his Large Band, Lovett’s live performances reflect the breadth of his talents and diversity of his influences, from country to rockabilly to blues, jazz, and swing. He is also an actor and a record producer. Lovett’s many accolades include four Grammy Awards, the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, being named Texas State Musician, and membership in both the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association Hall of Fame and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.
