Maitreyi Sistla is deputy director of the Aspen Tech Policy Hub, a program of the Aspen Institute that trains science and technology experts on the policy process, where she has helped train over 150 STEM fellows. A technology and innovation policy expert, she has also led efforts to develop industry-wide recommendations to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in the cybersecurity and climate policy spaces. Sistla previously worked on digital identity and blockchain research to inform policy for the State of California. Before that, she was a manager at the University of Chicago Crime Lab, a field staffer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and a researcher at Berkeley’s Center for Effective Global Action.
