Malaika Vaz is the founder of Untamed Planet, a production company based in New York and Bangalore, India, that produces natural history and environmental programming. A National Geographic Explorer, she hosts, writes, and directs documentaries on endangered species, community-led conservation, and wildlife trafficking for the BBC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and Al Jazeera. Vaz presented and directed the three-part “Living with Predators” TV series on big cat conservation in India and hosted an eight-part Discovery Channel/Animal Planet India series on lesser-known and endangered species. A consultant with WildAid and the Wildlife Trust of India for anti-trafficking and conservation initiatives, she has served on the expert advisory panel for the Earthshot Prize.
