Manmeet Kaur is executive director of City Health Works, which she founded in 2012 to create a business case for integrating local health coaches into the US health care system. Previously, she was an advisor to the One Million Community Health Worker Campaign and worked on community health and workforce initiatives in South Africa (Mamelani Projects), India (LabourNet), and New York City (the Brennan Center for Justice). While abroad, she saw the potential for reverse innovation from lower cost health systems when applied to the United States. Kaur is a GLG Social Impact Fellow, Draper Richard Kaplan Foundation Social Entrepreneur, and a PopTech Social Innovation Fellow.
