Manuel Oliver is co-founder of Change the Ref, working to vote out politicians who take NRA money and vote in politicians with gun-safety agendas. He is also head of global outreach and artistic adviser at Global Action on Gun Violence. Oliver has met with President Biden regarding gun law regulations and written a one-man show, "Guac," dedicated to his son Joaquin “Guac” Oliver who was murdered during the 2018 high school mass shooting in Parkland, Florida. To keep the focus on his son and the 45,000 victims annually of U.S. gun violence, Oliver has painted 55 murals around the country and overseas, partnered with the advertising industry and received invitations from international events to share gun violence solutions.
