Marc Koska is the inventor of the K1 and following auto-disable syringes, founder of The SafePoint Trust, and an advocate for needle safety in immunization and therapeutic sectors. His engineering company StarTek is a leader in syringe-manufacturing consultancy. Koska has spent nearly 20 years promoting auto-disable devices on syringes and persuading the global health community of their benefits in saving lives and health care costs. Toward his mission of mandatory use of auto-disable syringes, SafePoint Trust created the 2008 One Injection One Syringepublic health campaign in India, leading to mandatory use of auto-disable syringes in hospitals, and influenced WHO’s adoption of a global policy on injection safety in 2015.
