Margaret Hansbrough is the principal of Third Coast Climate Solutions. An advisor on industrial decarbonization and the climate crisis, she was previously the United Kingdom government’s senior policy advisor for COP 26, where she helped craft and launch the Glasgow Breakthrough on Steel. Prior to this, Hansbrough was a director at Waxman Strategies and, before that, campaign director of Mighty Earth. Her global campaign efforts to decarbonize the steel industry, include authoring publications, driving media attention, directly engaging corporations and governments, and negotiating industry standards, have yielded net-zero commitments from some of the biggest steel companies in the world, including ArcelorMittal.
