Marjorie Sims

Marjorie Sims is managing director of Ascend at the Aspen Institute, working for educational success and economic mobility for families. Prior to this, she was program officer at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, focused on family economic security programs. Previously, Sims held executive roles at the Washington Area Women’s Foundation and helped launch Stepping Stones, dedicated to increasing income and assets of women-headed families. She is also a co-founder of Women’s Policy Inc. Earlier in her career, Sims was the executive director of California Women’s Law Center and a policy analyst with the International Center for Research on Women. She is vice chair of Springboard to Opportunities and an advisor to the American Public Human Services Association.
