Mark Henderson is director of communications and a member of the executive leadership team at the Wellcome Trust, the world’s second highest-spending charitable foundation, dedicated to improvements in health through biomedical research and the medical humanities. Henderson joined Wellcome in 2012 after 15 years at The Times of London, where he was science editor. At the Times, he founded the monthly science magazine Eureka and won several awards for his journalism, including three prizes from the Medical Journalists Association. He has written two books: The Geek Manifesto, about science and politics, and 50 Genetics Ideas You Really Need to Know.
