Mark Silberg is special advisor on climate and energy to Colorado Governor Jared Polis. He focuses on administrative, legislative, and programmatic strategies to advance the governor's mission of 100 percent renewable energy by 2040 and a 90 percent reduction in statewide greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Prior to this, Silberg was a manager at Rocky Mountain Institute, where he supported states in developing near-term climate action plans, advanced advocacy strategy as part of the largest single climate action philanthropic investment in US history, and was a founding analyst in RMI's federal policy and building electrification initiatives. Previously, he founded a start-up accelerator that administered the US Department of Energy's Cleantech University Prize. A policy volunteer on the Biden presidential campaign’s subcommittee on environmental justice, Silberg contributed to the climate change solutions book The Big Fix. His recognition includes being named to the 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 in Energy list.
