International President, Service Employees International Union
Mary Kay Henry is the international president of the Service Employees International Union. Under her leadership, SEIU’s two million members across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico have won improvements to jobs in health care, property services, and the public sector. This includes the “Fight for $15 and a Union” movement that has helped 24 million working Americans win wage increases. In 2019, Henry was appointed co-chair of California’s Future of Work Commission. Previously, she was executive vice president and Southern California organizing director at SEIU. Henry’s recognition includes being named to TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2020, Fast Company’s 100 most creative leaders in the economy, and Politico’s top 50 visionaries reshaping American politics lists.
