Matt Jozwiak is founder and CEO of Rethink Food, a non-profit with the mission to create a more sustainable and equitable food system, taking excess food from restaurants, kitchens, and corporations to create nutritious and culturally celebrated meals for communities facing food insecurity. Jozwiak has worked in restaurants around the world, including Auberge de L’ile Barbe in Lyon, Noma in Copenhagen, and The NoMad and Eleven Madison Park in New York. He has written pieces on food insecurity and distribution that have appeared in publications including the New York Daily News and frequently lectures on these issues at Columbia and Cornell Universities. Jozwiak has received multiple awards and honors, including Business Insider’s 100 Coolest People in Food and Hunter College NYC Food Policy’s 40 Under 40.
