Matt Laslo is a freelance reporter based on Capitol Hill. Covering campaigns and federal policy since 2006, he has produced stories for NPR and its affiliates, VICE News, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, Campaigns and Elections Magazine, The Daily Beast, The Chattanooga Times Free Press, The Guardian, The Omaha World-Herald, and Washingtonian Magazine, among others. Laslo is an adjunct political communications professor in Johns Hopkins University’s Master in Government and Public Policy program and teaches communications and journalism at George Washington University, Boston University, and University of Maryland. Since 2009, he has sat on the board of the Regional Reporters Association.
