Mei Fong is an author, journalist, and a New America fellow. She covered China for The Wall Street Journal, where she won a shared Pulitzer as well as awards from Amnesty International, the Society of Publishers in Asia, and the Society of Professional Journalists. Fong was previously on faculty at University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communications and at Forbes.com. Her book, One Child: The Story of China’s Most Radical Social Experiment, was released when Beijing announced a nationwide shift to a two-child policy. It has garnered praise from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Independent, and the Los Angeles Review of Books.
