Special Correspondent and Guest Host, "All Things Considered," NPR

Melissa Block is a special correspondent for NPR and regular guest host on NPR news programs. Her NPR career has spanned over 30 years. As co-host of “All Things Considered” from 2003 to 2015, Block’s reporting took her around the world, including the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina and Sichuan, China, where her reporting during and after the massive 2008 earthquake helped earn NPR broadcast journalism’s top honors, including a George Foster Peabody Award, duPont-Columbia Award, and Edward R. Murrow Award. Previously, Block was an NPR correspondent based in New York, where her reporting after the attacks of September 11, 2001, helped earn NPR a Peabody Award.
