Michael Miebach is CEO of Mastercard and a member of the company’s board of directors. Prior to this, as chief product officer and then president, he helped transform the company from a consumer card-centered business to a platform supporting choice in how entities make payments and expand into the areas of real-time payments, open banking, and digital identity. Previously, Miebach led Mastercard’s Middle East and Africa operations and held senior roles at Barclays Bank and Citibank. He is a member of the digital advisory council of Fannie Mae, a board member at the nonprofit Accion, and board member at large for Ronald McDonald House New York City.
