Michael Sandel is the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University, where he has taught political philosophy since 1980. Sandel also hosts the BBC series, “The Global Philosopher,” leading global debates on philosophical topics and his free online course, Justice, has been viewed by tens of millions of people. Sandel has lectured around the world at venues such as St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Sydney Opera House, and Delacorte Theater in New York’s Central Park. His books on justice, democracy, ethics and markets have been translated into over 30 languages and include “The Tyranny of Merit,” “What Money Can’t Buy,” “Justice,” and “Liberalism and the Limits of Justice.” Sandel is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
