Michael Sorrell
President, Paul Quinn College
Michael Sorrell is president of Paul Quinn College, a position he has held since 2007. He previously was a public affairs consultant, special assistant in President Clinton’s executive office, and a lawyer. Sorrell is a trustee or director of Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, the College Board, Amegy Bank, Teach for America, Earth Day Texas, Dallas Regional Chamber, and the Dallas Foundation. His honors include the 2016 Martin Luther King Jr. Justice Award from the Dallas Bar Association, 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award from University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, 2012 HBCU Male President of the Year, and one of Washington Monthly’s 10 Most Innovative College Presidents.
