Michelle Kang is CEO of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, which is dedicated to promoting high-quality early learning for all children. Her leadership includes elevating the voices of the child-care workforce, predominantly women and especially women of color. Kang was previously NAEYC’s inaugural chief strategy and innovation officer, and helped pilot the organization through the pandemic. Prior to this, she had a 16-year tenure at Bright Horizons, an international provider of early education, most recently as vice president of strategic initiatives and operation strategy. Earlier in her career, Kang worked in community relations for Harvard University and was an independent development consultant. She is an advisor for Springtide Child Development.
