Mike Murphy is a Republican political consultant and an advisor to corporations, hedge funds, and trade associations. He is a senior fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and a senior analyst for NBC News. Murphy has directed more than 26 successful gubernatorial and senatorial campaigns, including twelve GOP wins in blue states that have consistently voted Democratic in presidential elections. Notable campaigns he has worked on include John McCain’s 2000 campaign for president and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s, Mitt Romney’s, and Jeb Bush’s successful campaigns for governor. He also works as a writer/producer in the entertainment industry.
