Michael Wirth is chairman of the board and CEO of Chevron Corporation. Prior to this, he was the firm’s vice chairman of the board and executive vice president of midstream and development, responsible for the shipping, supply and trading, and pipeline and power operating units, as well as strategy, business development, and corporate affairs. Previously, Wirth was executive vice president of downstream and chemicals and president of global supply and trading. He joined Chevron as a design engineer in 1982. Wirth sits on the board of directors of Catalyst, is board chair of the American Petroleum Institute, and a member of the National Petroleum Council, Business Roundtable, World Economic Forum International Business Council, and American Society of Corporate Executives.
