Miriam Horn has worked at Environmental Defense Fund since 2004, with positions including writer and clean technology specialist. She has authored or co-authored three books, including the best-seller Earth: The Sequel: The Race to Reinvent Energy and Stop Global Warming and Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman: Conservation Heroes of the American Heartland. Horn produced a film based on the latter book that premiered at Sundance and airs on Discovery in August 2017. She previously spent two decades writing for The New York Times, The New Republic, U.S. News and World Report, and other publications. Her first job was with the US Forest Service in Colorado, doing timber management, trail construction, and education.
