Monique Smith is founding executive director of Health DesignED at Emory University and an emergency physician at Grady Memorial Hospital. She has worked across five continents to deploy data and technology in expanding access to care, addressing supply chain challenges, and systematically tackling health inequity. Smith channels the experiences of her patients into reimagining how technology and new ways of providing care might bring about equity in well-being. Smith has appeared in The New York Times and on CNN, and she currently serves as a health equity and innovation advisor for Fortune 100 companies, the American Medical Association’s Equity and Innovation Group, and the White House’s Clinician Innovators Roundtable.
