Navina Khanna is director of the HEAL (Health, Environment, Agriculture, Labor) Food Alliance, a national cross-sector food and farm justice coalition. With a 15-year background in sustainable agriculture and food justice, she has worked as an educator, community organizer, and policy advocate, including as co-founder and field director of Live Real and food systems coordinator for University of California Cooperative Extension. Khanna serves on the boards of Food Policy Action and Richmond, CA’s Urban Tilth and organizes with #Asians4BlackLives. She is the recipient of a James Beard Leadership Award. A first-generation South-Asian American, her worldview is shaped by growing food in India and the United States.
