Obiageli Ezekwesili is president of Human Capital África, which uses evidence to mobilize governments to improve outcomes for children, and senior economic advisor at the África Economic Development Policy Initiative. She founded and chairs the School of Politics, Policy and Governance, which attracts, develops and produces a new generation of political leaders in Nigeria and was established by the #FixPoliticsInitiative, which she co-chairs. Previously, Ezekwesili was vice president of the World Bank, Africa Region. Prior to that, she was minister of education and minister of mineral resources for Nigeria. A co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, Ezekwesili was a Nigerian presidential candidate in 2019, senior fellow at Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a Richard von Weizsäcker fellow at Germany’s Robert Bosch Academy. She is board chair of Women Political Leaders.
