Otis Brawley is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Oncology and Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University. An authority on cancer screening and prevention Brawley leads a broad interdisciplinary research effort focused on cancer health disparities. Prior to Hopkins, he served as chief medical and scientific officer of the American Cancer Society for more than a decade. Brawley is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research Academy, and the American College of Epidemiology and is one of the few physicians to be named a master of the American College of Physicians. Brawley is also an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.
