Pajau Vangay
Science Policy Fellow, California Council on Science and Technology
Pajau Vangay is a Science Policy Fellow with the California Council on Science and Technology, where she serves as a consultant on the Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials Committee in the California State Legislature. She completed her PhD in computational biology at the University of Minnesota, where her research focused on the human gut microbiome and obesity development in refugee and immigrant populations, then held a fellowship in the university’s biomedical informatics and computational biology program. A former software engineer, she also has a master’s degree in food microbiology from Cornell University and computer science degrees from the Colorado School of Mines.
