Head of Global Counter-Speech Programs, Facebook (Festival Underwriter)
Parisa Zagat is head of global counter-speech programs for Facebook and part of the company’s Policy Programs team. A large part of her focus is working closely with the policy team that develops Facebook’s content policies on issues like the promotion of expression and safety on the Facebook platform. She manages Facebook’s global programmatic efforts on counter-speech as well as policy programs for Oculus. Prior to joining Facebook in 2011, Zagat was the director of the Clinton Foundation’s domestic economic development initiative. She has also worked on national- and state-level political campaigns and practiced corporate law in New York City. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
