Paul Hawken is an environmentalist, entrepreneur, and author. He founded Project Drawdown, dedicated to climate solutions, where he is currently executive director, as well as Smith & Hawken, OneSun Solar, and Erewhon, the first natural food company in the United States to rely solely on sustainable agriculture. Hawken’s eight books include five New York Times best-sellers: The Next Economy, Growing a Business, The Ecology of Commerce, Blessed Unrest, and Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming. His writings have appeared in Harvard Business Review, The Boston Globe, Orion, and others. Hawken has served on the board of environmental organizations including Trust for Public Land and Conservation International.
