Paul J. Kenny is the Ward-Coleman Professor and chair of the Nash Family Department of Neuroscience and director of the Drug Discovery Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Research in his laboratory is focused on the molecular neurobiology of drug addiction, obesity, and schizophrenia. Kenny is involved in efforts to develop novel small molecule therapeutic agents for the treatment of drug addiction and other psychiatric indications, and he is the co-founder of Eolas Therapeutics. He completed his post-doctoral training in neuropharmacology at The Scripps Research Institute. Kenny’s honors for his research include the Jacob P. Waletzky Memorial Award from the Society for Neuroscience and the Tom Connor Distinguished Investigator Award. (Mount Sinai is a 2023 Festival Underwriter)
