Paul Sutter is a research professor of theoretical cosmology at Stony Brook University Institute for Advanced Computational Science and a visiting professor at Columbia University’s Barnard College. An award-winning science communicator, he authored three popular science books and hosted television shows including “How the Universe Works” on the Science Channel and “Space Out” on Discovery. In addition to writing for Scientific American, Nautilus, Ars Technica and more, Sutter writes and hosts the hit podcast “Ask a Spaceman.” He also collaborates with artists on works at the intersection of art and science, is a U.S. cultural ambassador, serves on the external advisory council for NASA’s Innovative Advanced Concepts program and as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Energy.
