Paula Scher is a graphic designer and a partner at Pentagram international design consultancy’s New York office since 1991. There, she develops brand identities, signage, packaging and publications for a wide range of clients. Scher’s identity systems for organizations such as the Public Theater, Museum of Modern Art, Shake Shack, Citibank, Microsoft and the High Line have become landmarks of modern branding. Her designs are in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and Library of Congress, among other institutions. Scher and her work can be seen in the Netflix documentary series “Abstract: The Art of Design.” Her recognition includes the National Design Award, the D&AD Special President’s Award and the AIGA Medal.
