Peter Georgescu is chairman emeritus of the global marketing communications company Young & Rubicam, where he enjoyed a 37-year career. He started as a trainee in 1963 after attending Princeton and Stanford and retired as chairman and CEO. Having served on eight public boards, Georgescuis currently vice chairman of New York Presbyterian Hospital, director of Just Capital, and involved in several other nonprofit organizations. Originally from Romania, he and his brother were imprisoned in a work camp there for eight years after the Iron Curtain fell, forcing their parents to stay in the United States where they were on a business trip. The family was reunited in 1954.
