Peter Wehner is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times, since 2015. He was the director of speechwriting, then head of the Office of Strategic Initiatives, for President George W. Bush. Previously, he served in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations. Wehner has written widely on political, cultural, religious, and national-security issues for publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Financial Times, the Weekly Standard, Commentary, National Affairs, Christianity Today, and TIME magazine. He is the author of two books and a commentator on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, C-SPAN, and national talk radio programs.
