Phil Cheetham

Phil Cheetham is director of sport technology and innovation at the US Olympic Committee, where his mission is to discover, develop, and deploy new technology to help improve athletes’ performance and avoid injury. A pioneer in the motion analysis industry, he developed biomechanics methods and the AMM 3D Golf Full-Body Motion Analysis System, which have become standards in 3D golf-swing analysis. Cheetham competed on the Australian gymnastics team in the 1976 Montreal Olympics and was a three-time gymnastics all-around champion of Australia in the 1970s. He serves on the Biomechanics Advisory Board of the Titleist Performance Institute and is a former advisory board member of the World Scientific Congress of Golf.
