Preet Bharara is a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at NYU School of Law and an attorney and partner at Wilmer Hale. He is also the co-founder of CAFE Studios, a podcast-first media company, and host of the justice and fairness issues-focused podcasts “Stay Tuned with Preet” and “CAFE Insider.” Previously, Bharara was U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Prior to this, he was chief counsel to Senator Charles Schumer. Bharara is the author of "Doing Justice: A Prosecutor's Thoughts on Crime, Punishment, and the Rule of Law,” and a children’s book, “Justice Is … A Guide for Young Truth Seekers.” His recognition includes the 2024 Volunteer Lawyers for Justice's Champion for Justice Award.
