Randall Kempner is senior advisor to the Aspen Institute’s Energy and Environment Program, which explores significant challenges with diverse thinkers and doers to make a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable society. He is also founder and principal of Prosperity Strategies, an economic development consulting firm. Previously, Kempner was CEO of the Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation, a grantmaking foundation seeking innovative, sustainable solutions for human and environmental problems. For eleven years before that, he was a vice president of the Aspen Institute and founding executive director of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), a global network of nearly 300 organizations that propel entrepreneurship in emerging markets.
